FAQ

Why would I use beats in my music workflow?

Instrumental beats are great for a lot of different artists. Even if you write your own music they are still an indispensable tool. You can use them to practice your writing skills, release more music and try out new genres and sounds. Instrumental beats are great for creating music to release to your audience in between your main releases if you also like to write your own full songs from scratch.

I'm not sure I understand what an instrumental beat is. What exactly will I receive?

By filling out the form above you will opt-in to receive twenty-five instrumental beats from Powered By Sound Production.
These beats range in styles from Hip-Hop to R&B and Pop. It is meant to give you a taste for our production style and allow us to get to know you as an artist. An instrumental beat is the underlying portion of the music that you can write lyrics and melody to. They are great for rapping, singing or even solo instrumentalists to play over.

What does free mean?

Free means you have the ability to create music with them however you'd like and you will not be charged for that service. You can download & use these beats without any payment. They are also not tied down to any exclusive agreement. If you choose to plan a commercial release with these beats we will help you register the track and distribute it. We are still entitled to 50% of the composition royalties and can negotiate points on the master.

If these beats are free won't a lot of people be using them?

They are free and there may be a lot of tracks released with them but the chances of it diminishing the value of your songs are very low. Songs that are remixed usually do very well and this is a similar concept. Bryson Tiller & J Cole both wrote their own original songs to the same beat. It happens. In the end, you have nothing to lose by giving it a try and seeing what happens. If your best song comes from a leased or free beat, I wouldn't worry about others using the same beat. Your goal should be the best track with the beat.
